About the Mod 0.5 Spur Gear

Lightweight & Race-Ready Design

Precision-machined from durable Delrin, this spur gear system weighs only 2.7 grams, significantly lighter than the stock setup at 4.3 grams. The wider 4.5mm tooth profile increases gear strength and longevity under the stress of high-output motors. Installation is straightforward; simply remove all stock slipper components, slide the Exotek gear in place over the pin, and secure it using the stock three-millimeter locknut.

*Tech Note: Do not over-tighten the three-millimeter lock nut onto the shaft.

**Tech Note: When removing the stock slipper and spur gear parts, please be careful not to lose the small steel pin in the top shaft.

***Tech Note: For easier access and clearance, you may want to grind off a bit of the plastic side rail in front of the spur gear.
