This is an optional Exotek SRX-2 "Flite" Aluminum Top Shaft. This extra lightweight 7075 alloy top shaft for the SRX-2 weighs in at only 3.75 grams, which is substantially lighter than the stock top shaft (10.1g). The top shaft also reduces the rotational mass makes a greater difference to motor performance then simply reducing static weight.
